Cet hiver nous fêtons les 20 ans du chalet de l’arc.
Chapitre I Le commencement
Nous sommes en aout 1999 la première pierre est posé et le chantier commence.
Objectif faire le nouvel an 2000 à 2000m d’altitude. L’aventure commence ! Avant de pouvoir accueillir les premiers clients, de cuire notre premier pain, de cuisiner notre premier plat ou de servir notre premier verre. Il fallait construire le chalet.
L’objectif de la famille Falcoz construire dans le respect des traditions de la vallée de l’arc.
Ce sont des murs de pierre qui sont construits pour soutenir l’incroyable charpente assemblée dans la plus pure tradition sans aucun clou ni vis par la charpenterie Buet pour soutenir un toit en lauze.
Des fours à bois spéciaux pour cuire le pain fabriquer sur place sont placés au centre du restaurant.
Après des mois de travail, de sueur, de braver les conditions météo d’un mois de novembre à 2000 m d’altitude nous y sommes le 31 décembre 1999 l’ouverture des chalets de l’arc. L’objectif de rentrer dans l’an 2000 à 2000 m d’altitude est atteint.
C’était partie pour vivre plein de moments inoubliables, de partage et de joie mais ça vous imaginez depuis 20 ans il y a plein d’histoires et cela fera l’objet de plein d’autres articles !

This winter we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the chalet de l’arc.
Chapter I the beginning
We are in August 1999 the first stone is laid and the building site begins.
Objective to make the new year 2000 at 2000m of altitude. The adventure begins before we can welcome the first customers, bake our first bread, cook our first dish or serve our first drink we had to build the chalet.
The objective of the Falcoz family is to build in the respect of the traditions of the arc valley.
These are stone walls that are built to support the incredible framework assembled in the purest tradition without any nails or screws by the Buet carpentry to support a slate roof. Wooden ovens specially designed to bake the bread made on site are placed in the centre of the restaurant.
After months of work, sweat and braving the weather conditions of November at an altitude of 2000 m we are there on December 31, 1999 the opening of the chalets de l’arc. The objective to enter the year 2000 at 2000 m of altitude is reached.
It was gone to live full of unforgetable moments of sharing joy but that you imagine for 20 years there is a lot of history and it will be the subject of many other articles!
